I was fortunate to see, on separate instances (courtesy of the Luminato festival) both Laurie Anderson and Kronos Quartet in Toronto.
It never crossed my mind that they never had a collaboration.
But it’s true.
And that is about to be adjusted, as the legendary New York artist is joining the famous quartet in a concert this June at the no-less-famous Barbican Hall in London, UK (found out via WIRE, the prestigious magazine for adventures in modern music).
The London appearance will be the European premiere – but the concert has previous stops in USA and Australia. Check Laurie’s page.
