American Hollow’s 2012 album “Screaming into the Void” was reviewed in prestigious UK’s PROG magazine, issue #29.

“Say, Is It Really True” was originally released by German prog rock legends ELOY on 1982′s album Time to Turn. American Hollow recreated the song with their own sound. The lyrics were also modified. Listen to a sample of the original “Say, Is It Really True”

LYRICS:

American Hollow – say, is it really true

say, is it really true,
that the flame of hope has grown?
that the spirit has changed;
that the weak no longer stand alone?

say, is it really true,
that the thought of war has lost its meaning?
that the devils men made have died;
that the power of greed is sinking?

the coldest nights are followed by dawn;
an outburst of light,
that cures the blind.
a strong conviction has evolved in time;
that life demands deeds we must define.

say, is it really true,
that once buried virtues now arise?
that the truth itself
no longer asks for a disguise?

a power that’s been neglected, denied;
now blossoms and grows, calls out the best.
at last the change of an era has come;
but there won’t be much time to rest.

say, is this the force I feel within
heart and mind the truth?
or am I deceived again…deceived again?
say, is it really true,
that the flame of hope has grown?
or am I deceived again…deceived again?

Alabama Shakes – Hold On
Bless my heart.
Bless my soul.
Didn’t think I’d make it to 22yrs old.
There must be someone up above sayin’ “Come on Brittany,

you got to come on up.”
“You got to Hold on…”

So, bless my heart and bless yours too.
I don;’t know where I’m gonna go don’t what what I’m

gonna do.
Must be somebody up above sayin’ “Come on Brittany, You

got to come on up!”
“You got to hold on…”

YEAH! YOU GOT TO WAIT!
YEAH! YOU GOT TO WAIT!
BUT, I DON’T WANNA WAIT!
I DON’T WANNA WAIT…

So, bless my heart.
Bless my mind.
I got so much to do, I ain’t got much time
So, must be someone up above saying “Come on girl! You

got to get back up!!”
“You got to hold on…”

“YEAH! YOU GOT TO WAIT!”
I DON’T WANNA WAIT!
WELL, I DON’T WANNA WAIT!
NO, I DON’T WANNA WAIT!

“You got to hold on…”
